My little Elle is finally four! She has been so excited for her birthday and I have to admit that four is probably one of my favorite ages. Elle is still extremely shy when it comes to being around people but at home she is one of the craziest of the kids! In public you are lucky if she will even crack a smile and hardly says a word. At home she is silly and very talkative!
Elle is very sweet and loves her spot in the family as the little sister. She would much rather be taken care of! She is still very small and is so much smaller than Emme that you would never guess they are only a year apart. She absolutely loves baby dolls but doesn't much care for real babies. She doesn't care to share the attention!
Elle is a mama's girl and I love that she loves to spend every moment with me. She loves when I sew and always wants to help in some way whether it be cutting the fabric or sewing a line. She loves to put together fabric and ask me to make an outfit! She loves bright wild colors and patterns! She is very girly and loves to dress up. She recently saw an episode of Toddlers and Tiaras and has decided that is her calling in life. She was so impressed that the kids were all dressed up and wearing make-up! Thankfully, she wouldn't really get within 50 ft of a stage! She has started t-ball with Parker and Emme this year and loves it.
The picture in the middle is one of my favorites. We went on a temple tour in September with the primary. There happened to be a wedding that morning as well. I kept losing Elle from the group, which is unusual because she would normally never leave my side. Every time I found her she had wondered off to wherever the bride was and couldn't keep her eyes off her. She leaned over to me and told me she couldn't wait to be married here.
We are sure lucky to have Elle in the mix of kids. It just wouldn't be the same without her sweet and sometimes crazy smile.
Holly I can't believe how big they are getting. I miss your sweet Elle. She was so fun in nursery. I have to tell you, Mike and I are taking a week to ourselves this summer, and are trying to decide what we want to do, and all I can think is that I want to come hang out with you. Maybe someday I'll be able to slip away by myself. You need to blog more, it is my only connection to you.
ReplyDeleteAmen to Anna about needing to blog more! I love hearing about your cute family.
ReplyDeleteAnd I know this is crazy, because my brain totally understands that Elle is just a week younger than Bryce, but SHE'S FOUR??????? I just can't quite process that.
I third what Anna said! You have a wonderful family Holly, I love hearing your updates.
